Sleepy baby squirrel was yesterday amusing us and finally I got some photos of him/her. I assume this baby squirrel is Finnish pine squirrel.
One of the aspens has some kind of wound and there is sap in the tree trunk. Yesterday morning this little fellow besides all the insects was eating the sap. May be s/he got tired as after finishing the breakfast baby squirrel climbed to the branch and slept.

Very similar to our Adirondack Red Squirrel and in Washington State there is a little also I think called pine squirrel so cute!

Pine squirrel is not so common in Finland. We are lucky to have them around here in our cottage đ

Thank you donna! We were discussing with mr H that it ate too much sugar and got tired. It slept some minutes and then continued its way.

So how come when we give kids sugar, they bounce off the walls and won’t sleep? đ I have grandboys now, so I get to send them home at some point! đ đ đ€Ł

Hi Minna, that is the cutest squirrel I have ever seen! đ I love squirrels, but we don’t have them in Australia, although I managed to see a few when I holidayed in USA some years ago, and I have been fascinated by them ever since. đ
