Minna Jacobson – enthusiast nature photographer from Finland
I love nature: extreme weather conditions, rapids and the swell of the water, birds, animals … Usually I spend my free time outside wondering around with my camera.
My first DSLR camera was the Canon 450d, which I bought 2008. It was nice camera and I learned a lot, but I wanted to be better photographer. After a couple of years I switched to a Canon Mark 5 D II full frame camera. The 5D Mark II was the first camera in the EOS line to provide video recording functions! It was launched 2008 and I bought it 2010. Still using it.
I use two lenses: Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS II USM and Canon EF 24-105mm f / 4L IS USM. I use the 70-200 mm lens for shooting landscape, wildlife, while the 24-105 is best suited for landscape. Just lately I have started to realize I need more lenses. Especially for bird shooting, why not also for landscape!
This blog contains stories and photos from Finnish nature. Mainly from South Finland as I live in Espoo. I also spend a lot of my time in Lohjanjärvi, where I have a cottage.
