Sleepy baby squirrel

Sleepy baby squirrel was yesterday amusing us and finally I got some photos of him/her. I assume this baby squirrel is Finnish pine squirrel.

One of the aspens has some kind of wound and there is sap in the tree trunk. Yesterday morning this little fellow besides all the insects was eating the sap. May be s/he got tired as after finishing the breakfast baby squirrel climbed to the branch and slept.

So how come when we give kids sugar, they bounce off the walls and won’t sleep? ๐Ÿ˜‰ I have grandboys now, so I get to send them home at some point! ๐Ÿ˜‰ ๐Ÿ˜‚ ๐Ÿคฃ

  1. Hi Minna, that is the cutest squirrel I have ever seen! ๐Ÿ’š I love squirrels, but we don’t have them in Australia, although I managed to see a few when I holidayed in USA some years ago, and I have been fascinated by them ever since. ๐Ÿ˜Š

    1. Hi Sue, it definitely is really cute ๐Ÿ™‚ It is interesting to hear that you donยดt have squirrels in Australia. Your country is so beuatiful and you have special animals like koalas living there. I have never been to Australia, some day I hope to be able to have a holiday in your country!
