Baby squirrel is growing up and he already looks like an adult Pine squirrel. Still he is bit smaller and fluffier than a grown up Pine squirrel.
Baby Pine squirrel is really active and quick. He jumps from tree to tree and so it is quite difficult to get good photos. Last Saturday I was walking on the road and first I heard some rustle on the forest. There the baby squirrel was in a hazel. I was lucky to get close enough and he staid still a short moment. May be he was wondering who I am and what I was doing.
I love to watch the squirrels in their daily bustle. At the moment hazels are full of nuts and squirrels are busy collecting and hiding the nuts into the ground for winter. BTW we have quite many new hazel growing in our plot 😊. Thanks to our active squirrel gardeners!
